Fortunately, just 20 minutes from my house are located the gorgeous Eastern Beaches (Playas del Este), among which there is one very special, Santa Maria del Mar, which we like so much because of its crystal-clear waters and its white fine sand.

Near my house, just a few blocks away, stands Havana’s National Capitol Building, a splendid construction very similar to that of the Capitol in the United States. It is surrounded by the typical picturesque streets filled with American classic cars which remind us of the 1950’s. Morro Castle

Morro Castle, originally named "Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro", is the main guardian of the entrance to the Havana bay and one of the symbols of the city. Builded in 1585 by the engineer Juan Bautista Antonelli, the fortress have played a significant role in the history, not only like a defensive keypoint but also like inspirational image for painters and writers.

Near my house you can find one of the greatest symbols of the city: the Malecón. I can’t even imagine the time in which the Malecón didn’t exist. The Malecón is one of the favorite places of a ot of people here in Cuba. Due to its proximity I visited it very often, I sit in its wall and I enjoy it like if it was my first time there.
